Arsenal Injury update: Gabriel Jesus returns to Arsenal training ground

Gabriel Jesus has been injured since the middle of the winter World Cup, causing him to miss the last couple of months of action with Arsenal.

After completing a significant portion of his rehabilitation abroad, Jesus has recently resumed training on grass. Then, he took an additional step forward this week by returning to London Colney.

On Tuesday, Jesus returned to Colney, and he is now able to perform light ball work on the training field.

However, the focus remains on strengthening his knee, and Arsenal are hesitant to provide an exact timeline.

It is evident that the forward is still in the early stages of his recovery. Even after he completes his training, it will likely take him some time before he is fully proficient.

A return in March remains the most likely scenario, as a return to full fitness and match sharpness in the next two weeks seems unlikely and the final game of February will take place in just two weeks and two days.

The month of March begins for Arsenal with the rescheduled home match against Everton, followed by a home match against Bournemouth.

After that, there is an away European knockout match, which is likely a less favorable environment for an injured player’s return.

It remains to be seen how Arsenal intends to reintegrate Jesus, but there are numerous u21 matches this month, should they require them.
