Mikel Arteta has played a significant role in creating a strong sense of unity within the Arsenal team, which has contributed to their success this season.

The Gunners are currently leading the Premier League and have a five-point advantage over Manchester City. They recently demonstrated their capabilities as title contenders by beating Everton 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring two goals and Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard each adding one.

This victory was their third consecutive win in the league. Although Arsenal has not won the Premier League since the Invincibles’ unbeaten season in 2003/04, they are currently on track to achieve a historic accomplishment.

Arsenal’s success this season has been attributed to their shrewd recruitment in the transfer market and their strong sense of team spirit, which was exemplified during Wednesday night’s match.

The team’s captain, Martin Odegaard, scored the third goal of the game, tapping in a deflected cross from Leandro Trossard. While Odegaard celebrated by dancing for the fans, Bukayo Saka rushed over to congratulate Trossard.

Trossard, who joined Arsenal in January from Brighton for a fee of £27 million, has already demonstrated his value to the team.

Manager Mikel Arteta has trusted the 28-year-old forward to start the last two games ahead of Eddie Nketiah. This shows that Arsenal’s recruitment strategy has been successful in identifying and acquiring talented players who can contribute to the team’s success.

Bukayo Saka’s contribution to Arsenal’s success has not gone unnoticed, as he provided the assist for Martinelli’s winning goal against Leicester, and his pass led to Odegaard’s goal against Brighton. Saka was quick to acknowledge the importance of his new teammate, Trossard, whom he praised by saying “Top!” before giving him a hug.

Trossard has made a positive impact in his nine appearances for Arsenal, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Although he has not yet played a full 90 minutes under Arteta, his arrival has added depth to the squad, which will be essential in the final stretch of the season.

Arteta has been pleased with his new signing, who joined alongside Jorginho and Jakub Kiwior in January. “He’s had an impact every time he’s been on the pitch,” he said last month when asked to assess Trossard’s start at the club.

After the victory at Leicester last weekend, he added: “He’s so good in small spaces, tight spaces, with his creativity to open people up and I’m really happy with him.”

It’s evident that Saka shares the same sentiment, and the Belgian player has been instrumental in compensating for Gabriel Jesus’ absence since he sustained a severe injury during the World Cup with Brazil and hasn’t played since then.

The player who was signed for £45m in the summer is recovering well from his knee injury and may soon be fit enough to play with the team again, possibly even before the upcoming international break.
