Arsenal fans in transfer frenzy after Declan Rice clip goes viral

The future of Declan Rice will almost certainly be a hot topic during the summer transfer window, as he has been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

The England international has been rumored to leave West Ham United for quite some time, and it has been widely reported that he will leave at the end of the season, with the Gunners, according to The Times, making the 24-year-old their top target with “growing confidence” they can complete a deal.

However, any potential transaction will be costly. In fact, Hammers manager David Moyes has already indicated what it will take for the club to cash in on their captain, declaring,”Undoubtedly Declan is going to be a top player, he’ll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham.”

This statement comes at a time when it has been reported that Manchester United had a £100 million offer for Declan Rice rejected last summer.

Considering that Enzo Fernandez holds the British transfer record after completing a £106.8 million move to Chelsea on the final day of the transfer window, Arsenal may have to bid in that region to acquire the midfielder.

Despite football.london’s recent emphasis on the Gunners’ transfer policy of not engaging in bidding wars or overpaying for players – which ultimately resulted in them missing out on the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk last month – many supporters believe Rice would be worth every penny.

This theory is largely based on the midfielder’s performance for West Ham United in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at the weekend. @CKftbl uploaded a nearly two-minute Twitter clip of Rice’s best moments at St James’ Park, and it’s safe to say that calls for his arrival at the Emirates Stadium are growing louder.

@MuhsinFarah said: “I really need him at Arsenal next season”, @Toyinharbeehola said: “We need him next summer”, @Sir_001 said: “Bring him to the Emirates @Arsenal”, @Under25s said: “I’m so moved, I don’t care what he’ll cost, BRING HIMMMMMMM” and @FPL_Canc3lo said: “Class DM bring him to the carpet.”

As of now, Arsenal are on track to meet one of Rice’s conditions of competing in European football’s elite competition next season.

Something the 24-year-old has stated publicly is his goal: “One hundred per cent I want to play in the Champions League. For the last two or three years I’ve been saying that,” he previously said. “I’ve been playing consistently well for my club and I feel like I really want to keep pushing.

“I see my friends here who are playing Champions League and for big trophies. You only get one career and at the end you want to look back at what you’ve won and the biggest games you’ve played in.”
