Antonio Rudiger leaves wordless reaction following what Chelsea player did at the World Cup yesterday

Antonio Rudiger, a former Chelsea player, rushed to Instagram to congratulate his former teammate Hakim Ziyech on his World Cup advancement.

Yesterday, the current Blue played with a hunger and determination that the Stamford Bridge faithful had never seen from their man.

Morocco exerted tremendous effort to force Spain to a penalty shootout, with Ziyech among the stars.

When it came to penalty kicks, the energized winger blasted his attempt through the centre, ratcheting up the pressure on yesterday’s paper favorites.

Perhaps Spain lacked the influence of their own Chelsea player, Cesar Azpilicueta.

National media were quite critical of the choice to substitute the 33-year-old against Japan last time out, when Europe was leading.

Instead, Luis Enrique chose to give Marcos Llorente his first start of the tournament in that position, a choice that did not pay off.

In the meantime, Ziyech has qualified for a World Cup stage he likely never imagined he would reach. The lone remaining African team was naturally placed in a group with Belgium and Croatia.

Their accomplishments to date are worthy of praise, especially Ziyech, who at one point appeared to have played his final game for his country.

Former teammate Rudiger commended him for his contribution to the victory, and his emoji-led response congratulated his friend.

The Real Madrid player had a disappointing World Cup.

Germany was eliminated from the World Cup in the group stage after succumbing to  surprise participant Japan.

Despite Kai Havertz’s heroics off the bench against Costa Rica, Germany were eliminated from the World Cup group stage for the second straight time.

Ziyech will prepare for a quarterfinal matchup against Portugal, who appear inspired without Cristiano Ronaldo in the forward position.
