Ansu Fati replies to Arsenal transfer inquiry as Mikel Arteta sights £88m Barcelona wonderkid bid

Ansu Fati, the talented player from Barcelona, has responded to rumors about his future with the team amid their financial struggles.

The 20-year-old has been linked to a potential move to the Premier League, and reports suggest that Barcelona needs to reduce their wage expenses or increase their revenue by selling players.

Several English clubs have reportedly contacted Fati’s representatives about a possible transfer, and it is rumored that the player is seeking a bid of around €100 million, which would be a record-breaking amount for the club. Fabrizio Romano’s daily briefings quoted Ben Jacobs as the source of this information.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in Ansu Fati, according to a report from Spain. Fati, who has a contract with Barcelona until 2027, has played in 33 matches for the team this season and has been involved in nine goals.

As rumors about a potential transfer continue to circulate, Fati has stated his intentions for the upcoming summer transfer window.

During a press conference at the end of the 17th edition of the Sports Solidarity Stories on Monday, Fati declared, “I am contracted with Barcelona until June 2027, and I hope to remain here for many more years.”

Xavi has previously criticized reports linking Ansu Fati with a departure from Barcelona, stating that the young winger is not available for sale.

As reported by SportBible, the 43-year-old expressed confusion about why there is talk of Fati leaving the club in their internal discussions.

“There is no market now, so Ansu is not for sale. He is a very important player for us — for now and for the future. I have extraordinary confidence in him. His performance will determine whether he gets more or fewer minutes.

“I really have blind confidence in him. He has to be a very important piece of the present and future. But he must be patient. There is too much haste in everything.

“The January window is over and I don’t know why we are talking about this. We have to focus on what is at stake. For me, it’s clear that he has to continue.”
