Another major injury blow for Liverpool as player ruled out for the rest of the season
Stefan Bajcetic, a central midfielder for Liverpool, had his promising season abruptly ended by a severe injury, placing more unwanted burden on the struggling midfield of the Reds.
On Instagram, he shared this information on Thursday.
“Unfortunately I’ve picked up an injury that will keep me out until the end of the season.
“It’s very sad to say goodbye to this amazing season for me but I understand this is part of football and will only make me stronger physically and mentally.
“I would also like to say thank you to you reds for all the support through the season and I assure you I will do my best to be back stronger than ever.”

Due to his injury, the midfielder was not able to participate in Liverpool’s exit from the Champions League after their 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabéu.
Amidst a tumultuous season for Liverpool, the emergence of Bajcetic has been one of the few positive developments.
However, the team currently occupies sixth place in the Premier League standings and trails Tottenham Hotspur, who have played an additional game, by six points for the fourth-place position.
Klopp on Stefan Bajcetic’s injury
Jurgen Klopp provided an explanation to the reporters regarding the absence of the player.
“With Stefan, it is a stress response, which is absolutely bad,”
“So, he doesn’t feel a lot, it’s only a little bit but he is now out for I don’t know exactly how long. We have just to let it settle then and we will see when he can come back. [It’s] high up, around the adductor.”
Despite Liverpool’s disastrous season, Bajcetic has been a standout star, making a breakthrough as an 18-year-old wonderkid.
He has played in 19 matches across all competitions and has been a regular starter since the beginning of the year, scoring his first goal for the Reds against Aston Villa in December.
Unfortunately, the pattern of one player returning to full fitness while another gets injured has been a recurring theme for the Merseyside club throughout the season.
