‘Animal’: Dejan Kulusevski takes to Instagram to sum up Tottenham teammate’s display vs Chelsea in one word

Dejan Kulusevski responded with a single word on Instagram to Cristian Romero’s performance after Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Chelsea on Sunday.

The win was significant for Spurs as they strive to finish in the top four of the Premier League. Harry Kane and Oliver Skipp scored the two goals, allowing them to move four points ahead of Newcastle.

Tottenham had a relatively easy victory, and Fraser Forster didn’t have much to do. On the other hand, Chelsea struggled to perform effectively in the attacking third. However, Tottenham’s defense was outstanding, particularly Romero, who appeared to be the most committed player on the pitch, as per Kulusevski’s praise on Instagram.

According to Whoscored, the Argentinian player performed exceptionally well by making five successful tackles and completing three dribbles. Additionally, he showed great support for his teammates and was not afraid to get involved when things got heated.

Throughout the season, Romero has consistently been the top-performing defender for Tottenham, and the team noticeably benefits when he is in the lineup.

Romero recently shared his thoughts on the game on Instagram, and several other players including Kulusevski, Pedro Porro, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Bryan Gil responded to his post.

Tottenham seems to be improving recently, although they must be cautious not to become too overconfident. Consistency has been a significant problem for them throughout the season.

Nonetheless, two consecutive 2-0 victories suggest that they might be turning a corner. Their defense has been outstanding in both games, and Romero has particularly stood out.

The team has an upcoming match in the FA Cup, and they also have a decent chance of advancing to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Additionally, they currently occupy fourth place in the league standings and have created some distance between themselves and Newcastle.
