Andy Robertson names Liverpool’s best signing during his time at the club

Andy Robertson names Liverpool’s best signing during his time at the club

Andy Robertson, a defender for Liverpool, told Pitch Side (via Liverpool Echo) that Mohamed Salah is the best signing the club has made during his tenure at Anfield.

The Egyptian was a crucial cog in Jurgen Klopp’s resurgence and is currently one of the best players in the world. Robbo’s sentiments are understandable given the legacy that Salah will leave behind at the club.

“We’ve had good ones to be fair, we’ve had a lot of good ones. Robertson said.

“Obviously, Virgil was a big one, Alisson was a big one, but I think it’s got to be Mo with the records he’s set and stuff like that.”

Although Van Dijk and Alisson have made a significant impact on the Reds’ defense and style of play, it was Salah’s move from AS Roma that propelled Liverpool to the top level.

In 275 appearances for the club, he has scored a staggering 170 goals, a Premier League record not attained by many.

The Egyptian King has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times out of the five seasons he has played for Liverpool, so the numbers speak for themselves.

Salah has been criticized this season for his output, which is primarily due to the player’s astoundingly high standard, and despite his current form, he has contributed to 19 goals in 21 games.

Liverpool is fortunate to have Salah, a player who serves as a role model for many and gives his all every time he dons a Reds jersey.

Therefore, it is virtually indisputable that Mohamed Salah is the best signing of the Jurgen Klopp era, and thanks to the new contract extension, Reds fans will be able to witness the player’s talents for a few more seasons.
