An Ivory Coast player who is a future Ballon d’Or contender.

Former AC Milan  and Italian goalkeeper Giovanni Galli has tipped the 18 years old Ivorian Diallo as a future Ballon d’Or contender. Giovanni is the guy accredited to setting the now Manchester United Ivorian road to stardom.

According to Ex-Ac Milan’s former goalkeeper, Diallo’s only missing quality is strength. He feels that the Ivorian needs to add “strength” to his unique skills and by 2026, he could become one of the world’s best and become a Ballon d’Or contender.

Giovanni served as a sports director in an Italian Serie C outfit before he was informed of Diallo’s dazzling display at his former club Boca Barco.

Galli went ahead to organize Diallo’s trial with Atalanta which was successful. This saw the young player join the Italian bigwigs before the Manchester United signing that involved a £37 million deal.

Hilarious. The moment Emmanuel Eboue left fans in stitches.

While speaking to Goal, Galli said:
“Amad is unique but he must make himself stronger.
“At the same time, he must make sure he does not lose his speed, which is a quality that distinguishes him from others.

“In short, I think he has all the qualities to be a candidate for the Ballon d’Or in the next five years.”

The Ivorian is a member of Manchester United’s first team squad although he plays on rare occasions. The 18 years old was recently called into the Ivory Coast senior national team.

Papu Gomez, an Argentina who worked with Diallo at Atalanta compared the young talent to Barcelona Icon Lionel Messi. While heaping praise to the youngster, he said:

“He’s a future star, trust me.

“During our training sessions, he plays like Messi.

“You can’t stop him, he’s unbelievable, our center-backs have serious problems when he is on the pitch. He’s fantastic.”
