All Premier League clubs agree on what the punishment for Manchester City should be if they are found guilty of financial breaches

The Premier League clubs have reached a consensus regarding the penalty that should be imposed on Manchester City if they are convicted of violating over 100 financial regulations.

The league released a statement on Monday, accusing City of violating rules over a period of nine seasons.

This is one of the most significant events in the history of the Premier League and has the potential to greatly impact English football.

An impartial commission has been established to examine the case, and City has embraced the chance to prove their innocence by hiring the renowned lawyer Lord Pannick KC of Blackstone Chambers, who previously succeeded in overturning UEFA’s ban on the club from European competition.

There were rumors that the Premier League’s “Big Six” wanted the most severe sanctions to be imposed on City, but according to The Sun, ALL of the top-flight clubs want the harshest punishment.

Their desire, should City be found guilty, is for them to be relegated from the Premier League. A potential expulsion from the Football League has also been advocated for by a number of individuals.

Officials from clubs have arrived in London for the first of two days of meetings, but it is unknown whether City’s chief executive Ferran Soriano will be present.

Depending on the outcome of the verdict, some club executives have reportedly discussed behind closed doors the possibility of filing revenue loss claims against City.

Retrospective point deductions have been discussed, but they may prove difficult, and according to Sky Sports, the majority of people believe City will be hit with a “small point deduction” if the Premier League wins.

The situation is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon, and Pep Guardiola’s contract with City will likely have expired by then.
