Aguero Accredits Boehly for Transforming Chelsea with One Stunning Signing

Sergio Aguero said that Chelsea’s signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk could be a game-changer. He said that the £88 million transfer could change the Blues’ season.

Arsenal’s London rivals stole Mudryk from under their noses. The transfer happened out of the blue, even though Arsenal had been the favorite to sign the player the whole time.

The team’s owner, Todd Boehly, will be hoping that the signing will give Chelsea a boost after a rough few months. Graham Potter’s team is 10th in the Premier League table.

After a break this weekend, the Blues could be ready to play again in the league, starting with Friday night’s game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

This is how Aguero feels, and the legendary Premier League goalscorer has said that the transfer could change things at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Stake.com, Aguero praised the business which has been done by Boehly and Chelsea, saying: “The major clubs have made their moves already, and there’s not much time left. Maybe there’s a last minute surprise, it’s impossible to tell.

“The market did have a lot of movement and teams had really important additions. Mudryk going to Chelsea comes to mind. It really lifted up their spirits and it looks like a big win for their team.”

Mudryk made his debut for Chelsea in the 0-0 draw against Liverpool earlier this month, but the nearly two-week break following that match provided Potter and his squad with an excellent opportunity to regroup as they continue their pursuit of european qualification for the remainder of the season.

Shakhtar Donetsk were  paid by Chelsea an initial £62 million to acquire the Ukrainian. With add-ons, the total fee could reach £88 million.
