£20m player has just flown into Dubai to join in with Arsenal first-team training

£20m player has just flown into Dubai to join in with Arsenal first-team training

Arsenal has now spent several days in Dubai in preparation for the next Premier League season.

Mikel Arteta had the majority of his first-team squad and a number of promising young players available.

According to a source from Sponichi Annex, Arteta will soon be joined by another of his top players.

The World Cup has significantly disrupted club preparations for the return of domestic football.

Several Premier League teams have their complete complement of players, while others are still missing the majority of their rosters.

Manchester City, for instance, still has eleven players competing in Qatar, which is music to the ears of Arsenal fans.

After being ousted from the World Cup, most teams have given their players time off due to the stress of the schedule.

However, Granit Xhaka has already departed for Dubai following Switzerland’s loss to Portugal.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has also travelled to Dubai to practice with Arsenal, according to Sponichi Annex.

Tomiyasu flying in to join Arsenal training

Tomiyasu has endured a difficult week following Japan’s elimination from the World Cup.

The £20 million defender was extremely critical of himself after their penalty shootout loss to Croatia.

“Of course, we are so disappointed with the result. My performance was a disaster today so I am sorry for the team,” Tomiyasu said.

“I just need to be much, much better to help the team. It was not enough and also for the team, we did not deserve to win.”

After his final World Cup match, Tomiyasu stated that he did not know when he would return to training.

The right-back stated that he needed time away from football to recover after the loss.

However, Tomiyasu has already traveled back to join his Arsenal colleagues less than three days after that defeat.

Ben White’s comeback to action after departing England’s World Cup squad is yet unknown.

Tomiyasu could immediately go straight into Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.

He hopes to quickly recover from the disappointment of Japan’s loss and begin focusing on Arsenal’s title challenge.
